Below is a series of twenty-one abstract images by SK Murphy of lights captured in Carlsbad Caverns.
Fourteen of which were displayed recently at St. John's University in central Minnesota (and are featured here).
These images were digitally captured and pigment printed onto cotton printmaking paper. Note the subtle surface texture.
I call them effluviographs, a nineteenth century term for spirit photographs, because they look like and feel like ghost pictures.
