A new set of 36 Cartes-de-Visite featuring Cloud Portraits & a Commonplace Compendium of Quotes.
Each Carte-de-Visite (CDV) features a cloud portrait on one side that is pigment printed onto archival cotton & esparto grass paper.
The reverse side features a letterpress printed quote. It also includes a number at the bottom as well as an excerpt from a continuing quote that runs throughout the CDV set.
Each CDV is 2.5 x 4 inches and is tea-toned and “weathered” by the artist.
The CDVs can also function as a set of “Oracle Cards.”
Just ask a question and shuffle the deck.
Select a card. It offers a response in multiple ways.
It could be the quote. Or the number. Or the excerpt from the continuing quote.
Or the answer could be in the clouds. What do you see in the clouds?
These oracle cards are also good for selecting lottery numbers. And if you have a yes or no question, the odd numbers are yes and the even are no.
The extended quote at the bottom comes from the British Naturalist, Richard Jeffries, The Story of My Heart.
